'The Persistence of Mimicry' or

 'Salvador Goes to the Beach'

(600 x 645)

This painting is done as a tribute to the Surrealist Style of Salvador Dali, but with a few of my own personal

twists. I liked painting  the combination of opposites - warm colours with cool colours, soft flowing curves, contrasting with more hard edged and sharper images.

I enjoyed working with the perception of distance using the disappearing horizon.  I also found combining

a variety of subjects not usually found  (together) stimulates the mind.
